About
The Australian Standardised Shipyard Infrastructure Strategy (ASSIST) is being developed through infrastructure work at Cairncross Dockyard Brisbane (CDB), where engineering is underway to reactivate the site as a modern maritime sustainment facility.
The work will integrate core shipyard systems, including dry docks, shiplifts and transfer systems, with modern operations, advanced materials and manufacturing, underpinned by applied research and clear accreditation pathways.
Training will be embedded within delivery through on-site, project-based pathways. Cairncross will operate as a live test and demonstration site to prove and refine this approach.
