ASSIST’s potential lies in the combined capability and collaboration of its partners.
ASSIST is being advanced through an alliance of sovereign-capable companies and research organisations – each aligned to a defined line of effort and selected for their capability to contribute to the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of Australia’s maritime sustainment infrastructure and supporting systems.
This is a collaborative alliance , formed to prove and mature a model that can inform future national approaches to maritime sustainment infrastructure.

ASSIST - CDB
Lead: Cairncross Dockyard Brisbane Pty Ltd
- Strategic coordination and site activation
- Integration of infrastructure, commercial delivery, and program management.

- Trigonomics - Fabrication, yard infrastructure and OEM systems interface.
ASSIST – Research & Innovation
Lead: AMC Search
- Coordinate applied research
- Ensure platform-aligned innovation and training integration
- Accelerate design, and integration of smart sustainment technologies
- Generate exportable IP and support workforce development.
Partners:
Defence-aligned OEMs, applied research institutions and innovation collaborators.
ASSIST – Operations
Lead: Serco
- Operational readiness and dockyard management
- Workforce mobilisation, systems integration, and performance frameworks
- OEM coordination for in-yard support and long-term sustainment.
Other contributors:
- Local trades, marine technicians, and sustainment service providers - supporting workforce growth and regional jobs.



ASSIST – Supply Chain
Lead Suppliers: Bardex Corporation, Vulcan and Giflo Steels
- Critical systems: Hydraulic Chain Jack vertical shiplifts
- Supply of UHSS and corrosion-resistant green steels
- Building sovereign, scalable supply chains for national rollout.
Focus:
- Sovereign material resilience
- Manufacturing uplift aligned with national steel strategy
- Green transition and circular supply chain capability.



ASSIST – Advance
Lead: Trigonomics
- Smart build systems for rapid replication
- Workforce training, re-skilling and mobilisation pathways
- Development of repeatable, low-cost yard delivery modules.
